UL 300
Amerex KP systems are designed to meet the requirements of UL 300.
- Must use a Wet-Chemical agent
- Have a manual pull station
- Utilise an automatic fire detection system
- Include automatic fuel shut-offs for gas and electric
- Nozzles must be located in the hood and duct
- Nozzles must be located over each grease-generating cooking appliance
- System serviced semi-annually by an authorized service company
- Hood and duct maintenance and cleaning semi-annually by an authorized licensed service company

Appliance Specific
If the appliances are fixed to a specific location then nozzles are positioned above to provide cover.
This provides a very cost effective option as you only protect the risks.
